Private Retreats

Ideal for Government departments, councils, organisations, corporate and private groups, our private retreats program provides a unique cultural and professional wellbeing experience – an opportunity to heal on Country with a program tailor-made for your group’s needs.

Our Indigenous-led health retreats encourage participants from all walks of life to rest, be nourished and inspired by Indigenous ways of knowing, being and doing.

Our retreats provide:

  • Introduction to Indigenous wellbeing, including ceremony and storytelling

  • Workshops with Indigenous cultural facilitators

  • Ultimate relaxation with Indigenous-led natural therapies

  • Ample free time to connect with Country

  • Organic meals and snacks prepared fresh with local produce

By booking a private retreat, you’re not only accepting our invitation to experience cultural, Country and Indigenous wellbeing, but you’re also supporting our impact programs, like our Indigenous Postpartum Care Program and our Doobai Bundjalung Bush Food Program.

  • The Returning collaborates with 20 Indigenous facilitators in the Northern Rivers who generously share their cultural knowledge, wellbeing practices, stories and embodied ways of being with retreat participants. Together, we can select workshops which will create moments for learning, connection and rest.

    Inclusions can cater to your needs and budget.

    • Fully catered with local and organic meals

    • Workshops options include: weaving, contemporary Indigenous dance, grounded and connected meditation, decolonising the workspace workshop, trauma informed somatic therapies, clay play, nature observation walks, mens and women's circles, and more.
